HJB Bowdens is a member of several associations which promote the IT and recruitment industries in Australia, including:

- Recruitment and Consulting Services Association (RCSA)
Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA)
The association purpose is to lead and represent the information industry to maximise the potential of the Australian economy.
The AIIA achieves this by:
- Influencing Federal and State governments to improve the IT business environment
- Marketing the value and capability of the Australian information industry to other companies, countries, organisations and people
- Providing forums for member organisations to debate important industry issues and encourage appropriate government policies for the industry
- Providing members with up to date industry information and intelligence on the economic and policy environment
- Providing specific tools and services such as our highly regarded Salary Survey
- Providing business networking and briefing opportunities for members around Australia
RCSA (The Recruitment and Consulting Services Association Ltd)
The RCSA is the peak industry body for the recruitment and on-hired services industries operating across Australia and New Zealand.
As a not-for-profit organisation, the RCSA is managed by a Board of Directors whose central focus is "to represent and serve the interests of members for the increased profile and professionalism of the industry". The RCSA has more than 3700 members in Australia and New Zealand comprising multi-national companies, single consultancies, and individual practitioners operating within a recruitment consultancy.
The Association is instrumental in setting the professional standards, educating and developing Member skills, monitoring industry participant performance and working with legislators to formulate the future. Members are kept up-to-date on information regarding best practice techniques, resources and technological innovation, along with legislative changes impacting on employment
The RCSA also acts as a lobbying voice, representing its Members on issues that impact upon the industry. It has a strong relationship with the public and private sector.

All are bound by a comprehensive Code for Professional Practice authorised by the ACCC.
